This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in fermented food and drink. Using fruits and vegetables from the Windmill we will prepare a few simple lacto-ferment recipes like sauerkraut, fermented beetroot and fermented chili peppers for you to take home with you.
During this workshop you will learn about a variety of fermented foods, pickles and beverages as well as different strains of yeasts and bacteria and their uses. There will be honey kombucha for you to try and sourdough and other cultures to take away for those who would like one. This workshop will be held at the Windmill Community Gardens in Margate, a beautiful one acre community garden located in Dane Valley Margate, looked after and cared by the community.
